Working in all areas of the company you will be responsible for primarily the quality of all products. As QA you will provide customer satisfaction by ensuring that all products meet specifications and a high standard of visual appeal.
As a QA you will ensure that all staff are aware and competent to ensure quality, safety and legalities at the company are maintained and ensure 100% compliance on the shop floor.
- Be a presence on the production and packing lines, oversee production lead operatives monitoring the levels and distributions of the fillings.
- Identify training needs and feedback to the QAM
- Monitor reworks.
- Finished product checks – in the high care and goods out areas, checking the quality of product, labelling and packaging.
- Investigate customer complaints.
- Raw material checks – incoming goods checks and checks in WIP area.
- Internal auditing following audit schedule, testing operator on processes and CCP’s, Fabrication, glass and plastic audits
- GMP auditing of the production areas and processes, ensuring all materials are covered, labelled, used in rotation and in date.
- Assist the QA Manager to ensure the Food Safety and Quality Management system policies and procedures are adhered to on the shop floor.
- Ensuring the clean downs are done thoroughly, between product runs
- Daily manual temperature checks between unit 2 and unit 13
- Daily metal detector checks
- Daily ice spy monitoring.
- Paperwork verification and updating on the matrix

KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge of the food industry with a QA / QC background desirable.
- Intermediate food hygiene or above certificate desirable or willing to train for it. HACCP knowledge an advantage.
- Competent with use of a PC and capable of completing the necessary paperwork and report writing.
